What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser, often to recognise you on your next visit or to follow you across sites. This site saves none, and it does not use local storage or anything similar.
When you press play
Pressing play loads YouTube's player from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
YouTube says that in this mode it stores no information about visitors unless they play the video. Once a video plays, its player may store its own data in your browser.
Clearing what YouTube stored
You can delete it at any time in your browser's settings, under cookies and site data. If you never press play, it is never stored.
